Tyson Nargassans, President & CEO
With over a decade of experience in financial services, Tyson Nargassans believes in the power of analytics to transform data into actionable insights. As founder, CEO and president of Saylent Technologies, Tyson drives the business and technology vision of the company.
Under his leadership, Saylent’s solution suite and services have gained rapid market acceptance by leading processors in the U.S. such as CO-OP Financial Services, FIS, Jack Henry & Associates, and Vantiv as well as financial institutions such as BankAtlantic, STAR Financial Bank, Alpine Bank and Cadence.
Prior to Saylent, Tyson was vice president of sales and marketing for e-ClassicSystems, the market leader in ATM channel management solutions. Under his leadership, the company managed sales to institutions such as Sovereign Bank, TD Banknorth, AmSouth Bank, E*Trade, and others, ultimately leading to the acquisition of e-ClassicSystems in May 2004 by Jack Henry & Associates.
Previously, Tyson was part of the marketing management team at another startup, Sonexis, a Boston-based IP telephony company. He holds a degree in business from Skidmore College.
Bill Rooney, CFO
With more than 16 years of experience in both public and private companies, Bill Rooney joined Saylent Technologies in 2012 as chief financial officer with responsibility for finance, legal and human resources. Bill came to Saylent from RatePoint, where he served as the company’s vice president of finance.
Prior to RatePoint, Bill was the chief financial officer of ChosenSecurity, a provider of on-demand digital identity management services, where he led the company through its merger with PGP Corporation (acquired by Symantec). Prior to ChosenSecurity, Bill was the corporate controller of OpenPages a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance solutions (later acquired by IBM), where he aided the company’s growth from less than $10 million in revenue to nearly $40 million and successful closed on nearly $30 million in debt and equity financing. Before joining OpenPages, Bill held various senior finance roles at venture-backed technology companies including i-Cube, where he participated in the company’s IPO and eventual merger with Razorfish. Bill earned his B.S. in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Russell J. Prettitore, Vice President of Sales
As vice president of sales for Saylent Technologies, Russell Prettitore is responsible for driving sales of the company’s pioneering payment intelligence solutions.
Russ joined Saylent with over 14 years of sales experience in payment systems, most recently with MasterCard International. At MasterCard, Russ served as a vice president, debit product sales, where he consistently exceeded annual sales objectives, selling branded debit card and EFT (electronic funds transfer) processing services to major financial institutions.
Previously, Russ served in senior sales and client service roles at NYCE Corp., where his responsibilities included managing all aspects of new business conversions to NYCE’s processing platform. He also served as a marketing analyst and researcher at Carmody & Bloom, where he conducted electronic payment industry research supporting the firm’s consulting practice. He holds a degree from the University of Rhode Island.
Greg Meurer, Vice President of Business Services
Greg Meurer, vice president of business services, joined Saylent Technologies in 2007. Greg brings 15 years of experience managing different aspects of operations within small software organizations, primarily focusing in the financial services and real estate industries.
Prior to joining Saylent, Greg served in direct sales, product marketing, and professional service roles for ProfitStars and e-ClassicSystems. He also served as vice president of technology for WinnResidential, a national leader in the management of mixed income properties, where he organized technology operational and support teams and led the conversion and implementation of numerous company-wide mission critical systems.
Greg received his MBA from Northeastern University’s High Technology MBA program. He received two degrees in mathematics and management science from Southern Methodist University.
Cheryl Chiaramonte, Vice President of Engineering
As vice president of engineering, Cheryl Chiaramonte is responsible for overseeing the development and advancement of Saylent’s product lines.
Prior to joining Saylent in 2008, she was the lead developer for e-ClassicSystems, a market-leading provider of ATM channel management solutions. e-ClassicSystems was acquired in May 2004 by Jack Henry & Associates. Following the acquisition, she became the application manager for the product. She holds a B.S. degree in computer information systems from Bentley College.
Catherine Marenghi, Vice President of Strategy and Communications
Catherine Marenghi joined Saylent with more than 25 years’ experience in technology marketing and communications. She is responsible for defining and communicating the company’s strategic vision and direction.
She previously directed corporate public relations for the Americas for Cognizant, a Fortune 500 global IT services firm with a strong financial services practice. A serial entrepreneur and consultant, she was principal and founder of Marenghi PR, an award-winning agency with clients ranging from promising startups to industry thought leaders such as Forrester Research, IDG, Computerworld, Sonexis, Aspect Software, Thinking Machines, Pilot Software, and many others.
With roots in journalism, she was a senior editor at Computerworld and has written extensively under her own as well as clients’ names, including two business books. She holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in English from Tufts University.
